After Teddy Yetiā€™s most recent English lesson with Mousie, I found a little notebook and weathered pencil on my desk. Mousie claimed the items werenā€™t hers, so I flipped through the notebook to determine the owner, only to discover pages filled with indecipherable pictograms.

The mystery notebook and pencil.

A cursory examination was enough for Mousie to ID the abandoned notebook as Teddy Yetiā€™s travel journal. Concerned that the Yeti might want to ā€˜do writingā€™ on his next hiking adventure, Mousie asked me to message Boo Bear about when she could drop off Yetiā€™s things at their cave. Boo Bear then informed us that Teddy Yeti was out on a ā€˜Yeti pilgrimageā€™ and that heā€™d intentionally left his journal for Mousieā€™s use in the Bear & Mousie project.

Teddy Yeti's Travel Pack was apparently the topic of his most recent English lesson with Mousie. He must have left his notebook on my desk and set out on his Yeti pilgrimage as soon as their lesson was done.

Out of respect, Mousie has opted to await ā€˜the authorā€™sā€™ returnā€™ before commencing translations. Still, Teddy Yetiā€™s command of English is limited at best, so I expect most of the Rosetta-Stoning will be up to our resident ā€˜linguistā€™, Mousie. To expedite the process, Iā€™ve volunteered to hack an existing translation app to make it Yeti-Speak compatible, once Mousie has deciphered the pictograms and reverse engineered the grammatical system of Teddy Yetiā€™s native tongueā€¦ I do hope Teddy Yeti understands that translating an entire journal in an undocumented language wonā€™t happen overnight.
